Diego Conde

Several names were being considered for the technical direction of Villarreal, but ultimately, the chosen one has been the current goalkeeper of Leganés, Diego Conde.

The young goalkeeper from Madrid, aged 25, has had a great season in the Segunda División. He has played a total of 40 matches (3519 minutes in total), conceding only 26 goals and keeping a clean sheet on 19 occasions. These stats result in an average of 0.7 goals conceded per match, earning him the Zamora Trophy for the category. According to the online portal Transfermarkt, Conde's market value has risen to 2 million euros, with a release clause set at 4 million euros.

According to various sources, Villarreal and Leganés have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of the goalkeeper for 3 million euros. The deal could also include a loan agreement. Only the official announcement of the operation by both clubs is pending. (This is just a translation, for more info and links check the Spanish version)
